Dar es Salaam to Arusha

July 5th

Before leaving the bustling city of Dar, the running crew resumed our "on the road schedule" and woke well before the sun was up to get a run in along the spectacular beach. The sand was the perfect firmness and the air was already getting warm and sticky despite the dark skies. By far the most picturesque run I've ever enjoyed. We cooled off in the Indian ocean as locals began to pour out to the beach on their way to work... not a bad commute.

It was a long day of driving, along the beautifully lush Tanzanian mountain, and we spent the night camping halfway to Arusha in a rural campsite. I've been filled in on some insider investment opportunities and will get a chance to buy Tanzanite, a beautiful blue stone, which is becoming increasingly rare. It re-sells in the western world for three times the price and will only go up in value. jackpot!
